    Scanstyles does nothing in Webkit/Firefox

Microsoft has nefariously updated my version of IE from 10, which worked very well, to IE 11, which is now giving me this message on a number of sites - Scanstyles does nothing in Webkit/Firefox. How do I reinstall IE 10, if, in fact, I can do this? Why can't MS leave well enough alone? (that's a rhetorical question guys!)

Any ideas what I can do about this message or the reinstallation of IE 10 would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Go to CP, Programs and Features. Look for the View Installed Updates link on the left. In here you will find the entry for Internet Explorer 11. Uninstall IE 11 and IE 10 will automatically be re-enabled.

Once you have done this, the next time you go to WU, change how you handle WU from Automatically Install to let me choose what to install. Then when you see IE 11, right click it and choose hide. It should now not be offered, at least for this round of updates. Some updates have to be hidden each time.

Try the web page in compatibility view.

Thanks Medico. That seems to have worked. I have already changed my "Updates" to force it to ask me.
