    IE6 and Outlook (IE6 and win2000pro)

I updated to IE6 a frew days ago...all went well till today....suddenly Outlook can't be opened from anywhere

Is it necessary to update it separately?

I noticed Outlook Express was auto updated to version 6...conflict here?

I checked Internet Options under tools and Outlook is default for mail program.

I updated to IE 6 last week and haven't had a problem with Outlook; however, McAfee VirusScan no longer works.

When was the last time you rebooted your machine?

Also when one tries to open Outlook when it is alreay running will cause this to happen and the best way is to Shut down the machine NOT a "Restart", then power it back up.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
