    User preferences

Just out of curiosity, I understood that things like which skin you prefer are stored in the user ID at the lounge, not on your own machine? Yes?

So how come when I recently changed the skin I was using (just 'cos I can, really - the options in this lounge are brilliant!) I now see the new skin at work but still the old one at home? Could it be stored in cookies as well?

    Stored in your cookie.
I suspect the 'data' held in your user profile is only updated when you make a change to it.
e.g. You log on using IE5 and make a change to your profile. You then upgrade to IE5.5, your profile will only show you are using IE5.5 if or when you make a change to your profile (or just click submit, perhaps).

Thanks Leif - I'll try making a change tonight and see if it picks it up!

Yup, that was it. In fact, the moment I opened my display preferences window it showed in the new 'skin', without me having to make any changes!
