    Crosstab Query/Report (Access97)

I'm trying to create a matrix type of report that shows training records.
Customer last names for the colum header unit trained on for the rows and an x where they connect if the person is trained.
I created the crosstab query and it runs ok. I'm using Sum for the value field
    Question 1
Is it possible to place an "X" in the value field instead of the number 1 that is displayed now
    Question 2
Is there a way to angle the column labels on the report so the last names don't take up so much room
    thanks for the help

No, you can't slant/angle labels in access, not even in a report or form can this be done. Secondly, use the nested if statement to substitue X for an occurance of 1. i.e. iif([lastname]=1,"X",[lastname])
