Mail merge query error (word 2000)

I am trying to merge a an Excel worksheet into labels through word, mail merge. I get the following error when I use the query option to filter on a particular field: Word could not parse your query options into a valid SQL String. It seems to happen only when I select one particular field. Other fields in the same worksheet work fine - any suggestions??? <img src=/S/help.gif border=0 alt=help width=23 height=15>

I haven't encountered this. Have you read the KnowledgeBase article about it? http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...b;EN-US;q268971
    Good Luck!

Thanks Christie - I had only found the article that related to Word 2002 - It looks like my problem is both numbers and text in a field (I thought that by formatting the field, I could take care of this - but I guess not!

    Hi Gail:
What field are you doing the query on & what filter options are you using?
