Excel 2007 side scrolling does not work with Logitech M510 mouse

I've tried several Logitech mousies and NONE of them let me do horizontal scrolling in Excel 2007. My newest one, an M510, does horizontal scrolling in other apps, including Word and PowerPoint 2007). Just not Excel. Apparently, this is a well-reported issue with Excel (as it reportedly happens with non-Logitech mice, it appears to be an Excel issue).

Does anyone have suggestions as to how I can get this mouse to work in Excel?

    Thanks,

Are you using the Logitech SetPoint software? If so try uninstalling it and use the standard mouse driver. If you're not using it try downloading it and installing it and see if it makes a difference. HTH
