    2=1

    x=1
    y=1

    x=y
    multipy both side by x
    x^2=xy
    substract y^2 from both sides
    x^2-y^2=xy-y^2
    factor both sides
    (x+y)(x-y)=y(x-y)
    divide both sides by (x-y)
    (x+y)=y
    (1+1)=1
    2=1
    ????

    Since you are dividing by x-y, which is 0, your maths is utterly flawed.
