    Favorites toolbar problem

Hi guys. I'm running win 7 on a compaq presario. About half the time when I open Firefox, my favorites tool bar isn't there. If I close the browser and open it again the toolbar usually appears. Sometimes I have to do that several times to get it to appear. Any ideas about this?

Are you using the latest version of FF?

Have you tried pressing F11 to come out of full screen mode?

Actually I notice it's called 'bookmarks toolbar'. Yep, I have the latest version of FF running. I'm not in full screen mode (I tried f11 to see and went INTO full screen mode where I didn't have ANY toolbars visible. I always have everything EXCEPT the bookmarks toolbar visible.

Let me clarify a little. I have the SPACE for the bookmarks but it's just a blank area without any visible 'favorites' in it.

When its not visible, is there a check mark next to bookmarks toolbar when you right click on a blank area on the top row?

    Jerry

The next time it does it, I'll definitely look at that, hadn't even thought of it, thanks Jerry. After I get it back, it stays there through multiple openings and closings of FF.

I looked at the check mark as you suggested Jerry (It was checked) I unchecked it and rechecked it and my bookmark bar hasn't vanished since. Guess it was just some strange glitch.

    Thanks for the advice guys.
