Apple iTunes Update Install Jan. 24-14 - ERROR MSVCR80.dll (Win 7) error 126

Lost APPLE iTunes yesterday when V 11.1.4 "Upgrade" downloaded on Win 7 pc.....got message MSVCR80.dll is missing; tried to uninstall Apple components to reinstall but uninstall of 2 components failed so can't reinstall. Apple Forum reports that the 'world' must have this problem now.....(for those of us who downloaded the 11.1.4 Update Jan. 23/24, that is) !

Anyone have any suggestions for a fix ? Thanks.

See if this page is of any assistance:

Note the reinstall of Itunes requires running the setup file with Run as Administrator.

I had the same problem. I posted my solution in the Windows General lounge.
I did not search for this topic prior to posting my findings and solution, or I would have put it here. Moi bad.

    MSVCR80.dll Error 126 Issue

To resolve this, you need to give iTunes an administrative privileges. And try to uninstall iTunes completely and reinstall it back. See the link below for more info on resolving this matter:
