Exchg Srvr 2000 - Delete email attachments

I got a server with the virus w32.nimda.a@mm on it. It is located in someones attachment who hasn't opened it yet. In what directory are the users mailboxes located and their accompanying attachments.

Couldn't you log on with Administrator rights, open their mailbox, and delete the email?

    Just a thought.

You should use a utility to remove since your AV software isn't removing it. (if you don't have AV software - get some that also blocks attachments by type and block everything your users don't need for business.)

i think exmerge will work - it's in the SDK. You can't really get it out otherwise, since mail is stored in one large database, not as loose messages.
