    Password Reset Disk

I'm delving into Windows 8.1 for dummies, it states in "You can't create a password reset disk for a Microsoft Account" Problem is, it doesn't follow up with what I can do if I do have a MSFT account.
    Anyone?
    Thanks John

You have to do that online for a Microsoft account. Same as resetting the password for a Hotmail or Outlook.com account.

You should be able to obtain a recovery code (for future use) at https://account.live.com/proofs/Manage, but I can't get it to work (always says try again later).

Setup two step verification using your phone number, add "safe" email accounts to reset the password when you need, or get an authentication app for your Windows phone. All of these will provide effective means of protecting / regaining access to your Microsoft account if you ever need to.

If using email accounts, I would probably suggest that you rely on accounts from "reliable" providers, such as Microsoft itself or Google. If you self host email, make sure your domain name registrar is not GoDaddy - seen too many accounts where they just allowed unauthorized domain name transfers.

I already had the two step verification setup, I didn't go all the way and set up the Recovery Code.
    It is Now!.....
    Thanks John
