Dual Monitors (one touch, one not) in Windows 8.1 possible?

I am running windows 8.1 with dual monitors. If I buy a new touch monitor, will it work to have a dual monitor setup with one touch and one non-touch monitor? Not ready to spring for two touch monitors. I should think this would work, but I thought I'd ask. Thanks.

Check the required connections for the monitor you purchase, to make sure that your video card has those connections. I have checked two touch screen monitors (HP and Samsung); The Samsung requires HDMI (for video and audio) and USB (for touch screen) connections. The HP has HDMI, DVI, USB, and audio connections.

The documentation on line for the HP wasn't clear, so I can only guess; but my guess is that with the HP monitor, you can use either HDMI or DVI for the video, the standard audio connection for the audio, and the USB connection for the touch screen functionality.
