    Contacts to Word (2000)

I am finally able to select contacts and copy them (but only by shift-clicking one row at a time.) The information from the contacts will not paste into Word. Instead, Word places icons for each one in an e-mail that it derives without any prompting from me. Gee! All I want is a table. Any ideas? Thanks!!! <img src=/S/brickwall.gif border=0 alt=brickwall width=25 height=15>

Hi. I don't know much about Word - it's hard enough keeping up with Outlook. But it sounds like these are links or embedded files. Try using Edit Menu | Paste Special.

Depending on your needs, you may have better results pasting (Edit | Paste) into Excel because this will retain the column structure better. You could either use this directly, or copy and paste from Excel into Word. The latter should retain the column structure.

Go File>Import and Export then select Export to either a comma or tab separated file. Open that file, select all, and click Table>Convert>Text to Table.

That should put all your contacts into a table.
