Sill trying to find email client for W7

    Hi,

I've added more information to my my previous search for an email client for W7, screen captures along with narrative and I hope it helps.
I'm running W7 Pro, 32 bit w-XP virtual. For 20+ my busn, and personal, etc. email requirements were more than satisfied with OE 6 which is cannot be used with W7.

If I could get WLM2009 to re-install on my PC it would be fine with me. Is there a site on the web where I could download a version of WLM2009 that would work?

About 1 1/2 yr ago I switched to W7 and used WLM2009 which worked fine. Recently the spam filter became corrupted and I uninstalled WML2009, and tried to download a fresh copy and MS would not allow me. Some suggested I download from Filehippo and ran into similar problem.

Outlook, Thunderbird either were too kludgy, overkill, etc. I'm using OE Classic w/Mailwasher however it's very limited at this time.

I've searched, looked at & read about most of the current crop of email clients. Virtually all of there websites, FAQ and very thin on relevant content.

So, if any of you guys have any suggestions or can at least point me in a direction, I will greatly appreciate it.

For my basic business, personal "K.I.S.S" requirements, Please go to: www.klxdrt.com for complete info.

    cheers,

Thanks for the WLM 2009 WLE.zip tip; however after I installed wlsetup-web.exe from your zip, WLM would not launch. I rebooted several times, Tried launching from desktop short cut & start button menu to no avail. Do I need to sign up for a live membership as I had some trouble doing so & skipped it?

    Please advise.

    cheers,

    Satrow,

Thanks for sending me the the link for FossaMail. I have used PaleMoon browser in past. And I am evaluating T-Bird on an other machine where I'm checking out all the email client suggestions I'm receiving. Will get back to you with results.

    cheers,

Have a look at this email program....it works and looks like OE/Outlook. I have and use the free version....I quite like it as an alternative to Outlook and WLM 2012.

    eM Client.....

Go to Programs and Features, click on Windows Essentials xxxx (shows the year) and uninstall everything. Reboot before installing.

Did you already check "The Bat! Pro"? www.ritlabs.com
A very well maintained / supported e-mail client, the best one for the Windows world I've seen in the past ten years.

    Geschwi;947117,

Thanks for the reply about about Bat. Finally was able to install orig version of WLM, it works fine. Looked at Bat went to it's forum to see what users are saying about it. Yoo many negative comments. Not looking for more trouble, thanks anyway.

    cheers,

    klx
