Saving a WINDOWS xp program when i SWITCH TO WINDOWS 7

I am receiving a new computer with windows 7 installed. My program, "final draft", Will not go past windows xp (without paying a hefty upgrade). Can i partition the new c disk so that there is room for a windows xp partition to handle this disk.

A virtual machine with XP is also an option.

If you have Pro or Enterprise version of Win7 you can install XP mode for no cost. It is a VM with XP SP-3 preinstalled. Remember if you use some other virtual machine you need a licensed version of XP to install in the VM.
