Importing data from a txt file and parsng the data

I have to import a daily report which is a "TXT" FORMAT and parse the data in the same locations each day, in order to bring the data into excel. Is there a way to maintain the same line to start importing and the same Parsing divisions each time I import the new day's report. The report is the same structure each day with different data.

    Thanks.

Could you attach a representative example text file and an example worksheet of what you want the results to look like? [But from what you describe you may need more than one text file if the structure changes in that you have to import differently and the code must distinguish the difference...]

    Hi MNN

..have you tried opening the text file directly in Excel, using File>Open etc.???

Excel can read text files directly. And .prn files. And .csv files.
Depending on the nature of the text file, you can (sometimes) just change the file extension from .txt to .xls and open in Excel.
Can save a lot of bother. Sometimes.
