Doubts with the end of support of Windows XP

    Hello

I have some doubts with the end of support / lifecycle of Windows XP.

    1) On Tuesday, April 8, 2014 Microsoft ends the lifecycle. There will be releases that day or the last ones are from march?

    2) On Wednesday April 9 the computer that connects to the Internet will have those last downloads or not?

    3) What happens to a computer in which the XP is installed on April 30 and it connects to the Internet that same day, it will be updated with all the updates issued up to April 8 or not?

    4) If the question #3 is yes, which is the maximum date the updates will be downloaded?

    Thanks

Basically, the end of support means - no more updates from that date on. If you install XP after that date, you will still get all the updates to that point...the key here for that is; when will MS end that completely. Who knows but it will happen as it has for the previous version of the OS's.

    According to Microsoft,
after April 8, 2014, technical assistance for Windows XP will no longer be available
April 8 is a patch Tuesday. Since support ends after April 8, there will be XP patches on April 8.

    2) On Wednesday April 9 the computer that connects to the Internet will have those last downloads or not?
Those updates and patches will be available for some period of time, which Microsoft will not commit to at this time. Probably for several years.

    3) What happens to a computer in which the XP is installed on April 30 and it connects to the Internet that same day, it will be updated with all the updates issued up to April 8 or not?
If you install Windows XP, have the right product code for the edition that you install, and activate it, you will be able to download all service packs and other updates for XP.

    4) If the question #3 is yes, which is the maximum date the updates will be downloaded?
Once again, Microsoft will not say at this time, but probably several years.
