    Menu Bar

I have Win 8.1 and IE11. How do I get the Menu Bar to always appear in IE?

Check menu View -> Toolbars -> Menu Bar.

Rui's advice is for the desktop version only. With the modern version you can't have the menu bar.

Open the desktop. There should be an IE icon pinned to the taskbar.

Joe, thanks I had already tried that but when IE opens I cannot find any way to access the menu bar, let alone have it always shown.

    Further advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks and regards,

I don't know if this works in Win 8.1 but right clicking in a blank area to the right of the URL search box in IE gives a number of options to enable of which the Menu bar is one.

Pressing ALT opens the menu bar.
