    Printing Multiple Attachments (2000)

Users are printing multiple emails at once. The attachments which are word documents are going to the wrong paper tray. We use HP Laser Jet 8000. If you open Word documents within Word, the attachments print correctly.

Any ideas why this is happening

When I look at the print dialog, it says specifically that attachments print only to the default printer. So, are you printing the e-mails to a non-default printer and the attachments are going to the default printer? To solve this, change the default printer to that which you are sending the e-mails to.

The emails and attachments are going to a default printer. It seems like Outlook is not respecting Word's page setup options.

each document has it's own page setup options which it follows, only new docs that don't have options specified use word's default options.

    Re: Printing Multiple Attachments (2000)

To the contrary --- I have found that Outlook (at least 2000 does) REMEMBERS from one session to the next if you've chosen to print using something other than the default printer (whereas MSWord goes back to the default printer even after you've chosen something else in one session).

Given your description of the problem and replies to others ... I'm not sure if my comment helps clarify anything at all ... but hopefully it will help.

    Good luck.
