Question Look up value in fixed decimal places

    Hi ,

    need help in this.

I plan to set a table full of calculations and i plan to lookup a value e.g 2 decimal places out of those values which has more than 2 decimal places.
    Example.

    A
    0.1322
    0.1324565
    0.131234
    ....
    0.12
    0.12314

    Ideal result : 0.12

those numbers are return values of a simple division and i am trying to lookup the entire list to look for any result that gives me maximum 2 decimal places.
is there a formula for this type of look up? is Spread sheet able to do that??

    thanks in advance!

    Gusty,

Welcome to the Lounge as a new poster!

In column B you can enter the formula: =(A1*100)-INT(A1*100)
All results of exactly 2 decimal places (or less) will return a value of zero (0).
You can then search for 0.

EX: =MATCH(0,B1:B10,0) would return 4 (Row 4 is the first one with a zero value).
