    pst

I just rebuilt one os. I notice from looking at my other computer after backup, that I have three pst files. My Personal Folders, Outlook, and [my email address.pst]. Do I need all these? there's a fairly good size list of files in this fold too. It's Outlook 365.

PST files are just Personal Storage files for your Outlook information. They are somewhat specific to the different versions of Outlook, but you probably need all of them. They can be backed up and restored (moved from one computer to another to maintain consistency between your computers). I would definitely keep them all.

What kind of accounts did you configure in Outlook? If you configured IMAP or Exchange ActiveSync accounts you should have OST not PST files.

thank you for your replies. I deleted the Outlook pst which was a smaller file in favor of the My Personal folder and all is good.
