Word Form Fields Navigation using the Tab function

The best way for my users to navigate a form to fill in the fields is by using their TAB key. It seems that Word wants you to click and type, not tab. When you do tab in a field, it puts the tab in the field itself and doesn't navigate to the next field. Any ideas out there?
    Thanks,
    Judy

Your description suggests you're not using form fields, but content controls; specifically, the rich text content control. Plain text content controls do not allow tabs within them (i.e. pressing <tab> within them takes you to the next control), but rich text content controls do.
