    Windows 7, Excel 2010: Strange behavior of macros/functions

    I have macros and custom functions that were written 8-10 years ago that worked until we upgraded to Office 2010 and Windows 7. It was happening on my old PC, and it's still happening on my new machine. I get errors when I try to use what I thought were rock-stable macros. I have attached screen shots from two such problems. Could I please get some help?

    Thanks,

    Jim

    With luck all you need to do is to toggle "on" the basic References for VBA to work with:

    In the VBA Editor (Alt F11) click on Tools then References. The first few items should all be checked eg:

    * Visual Basic for Applications
    * Microsoft Excel [version] Object Library
    * OLE automation
    * Microsoft Office [version] Object Library
    * Microsoft Forms [version] Object Library
    * Microsoft Scripting Runtime

    Martin, a "Pip Pip" and "Cheerio" to you. After following your suggestion, all my home grown functions and macros are working perfectly. Thank you very much!
