word xp task pane (Wrod 10.2930.3131)

I am running Word xp (version 10.2930.3131) and Windows XP. In recent days I have noticed that I can't dock the task pane. It appears as a separate window. I know it used to work before. I am not sure if it is due to Windows Xp or some personalisation I might have made using Xtea or Tweak. I have checked thru Xteq and Tweak and nothing strikes me as causing this problem. If I click show on startup, the task pane does start when I start word, but not docked. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    Frank,

Not sure whether you have tried this or not, but it should work for you. Click on the Task Pane's header and drag it across to the right. When you have dragged it far enough it should automatically dock on the right of the window as per normal. Once you have done this it should start there the next time you start Word.

    Hope this helps,

Thanks Barry, that worked. I kept trying to dock it but never did what you suggested. It does appear now docked.
