Print/Fax/Copy machine has no new driver for Windows 7

Our office has had a Konica Minolta Di2010f for several years. It is a huge machine but it works fine and we don't have the money to put into a new one at this time. My problem is that we just moved into a new office and all of the computers have Windows 7 and the last driver made for this machine was an XP or Vista. I called the company and they said just install the Vista 64 bit driver and try that. I did and it did not work. It said it was installed and tried to send a test page but it never printed and gave me, I believe, a C 46 error? I was searching the web for others who may have had this problem which brought me to this site. A church had all XP computers but had to replace one and it was now Windows 7. Essentially it was the same problem but people had suggested that on the Window 7 machine they install an XP virtual machine. That sounds like an easy enough thing to do, however that was just for one machine. If I do in fact install this XP VM on one of the computers in the office and the printer is on a network...Is there a way for the other network members to send print jobs to the printer through an XP VM on another machine without having a printer driver on theirs?

You're sure your Windows 7 is 64-bit (at Control Panel, System)?
