Parent - Child influence on coding

I have a form with the following getfocus event:

    DoCmd.OpenForm "frmLineInfo", acNormal, , "[idsLineID] = " & Me.idsLineID, , acDialog

This works fine and performs precicely as I expect.

However when my form is used as a sub form, I get the following error:

    Run-time error '3075'
Syntax error (missing operator) in query expression '[idsLineID] = '.

The form will always be used as a sub form.

    How do I fix this?

Were you trying to open the form frmLineInfo as a subform?

Does the subform have the Master/Child links set?
