    Problem with system image

I usually perform a System Image twice or more a year.
I expected that the entire system would be returned to the “status quo ante” but every time I do that, I must install again the printer driver
There is a reason for that?

I don't know, is there anything interesting or different in the hookup or communication with the printer? I use Elaborate Bytes virtual clone drive and for whatever reason it will just be "dead" even though everything is present, until I reinstall it again after restoring an image.
I think it's something in the nature of the drivers/device software rather than a problem with the image software. You might test a different imaging program to shed further light on the subject if you had the notion.

Some files are probably "in use" and cannot be backed up. If your imaging software has the capability to create/restore images off-line (from a boot disk), try that.
