    Outlook 2013 will not start

My wife's computer uses Win 7, Outlook 2013 and Exchange. Outlook will not open - it just hangs on the blue screen and says loading profiles. It will open in safe mode. I have tried several things to solve the problem including setting up a new profile, checking to be sure that add-ons are not enabled, repairing office but nothing has solved the problem. Any ideas.

    Welcome to the Lounge!!!

Since Outlook opens in safe mode it is most likely one of the add-ons that is causing the problem. Can you uninstall any of the add-ons?

Did you delete the old profile after setting up the new one?

Have you tried a clean boot - How to perform a clean boot in Windows?

    Hi Friend,

I agree with Admin that mostly add-ins cause such kind of disturbance in Outlook. But it seems that there is something wrong with Outlook account settings or this issue also can arise due to the mistaken settings of Antivirus/Firewall program.

There are numbers of reasons due to which MS-Outlook can be hang or freeze, I guess you should take the help from this given link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2652320
