    Live Mail Error 3204 Hotmail

    Using Live Mail 2012 and get this message when retrieving Mail

    Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail (RHW8627) account.

    Server Error: 3204
    Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
    Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE20003

    Tried Microsoft FixIt that changed the registry but still have this problem

    Hi Bob, set your Hotmail account to be accessed using POP3, now remove it from WLM then reinstall it as below:-

    Hi

    I reset the Hotmail account per your instructions. I failed on password, so I reset the psaaword closed and restarted windows. restarted Hotmail failed again on password.

    Got this error message:
    Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail (RHW8627) account. An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.

    Server Error: 0x800CCC90
    Server Response: -ERR This account has POP disabled. Go to the Outlook.com options page to enable POP.
    Server: 'pop3.live.com'
    Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC92
    Protocol: POP3
    Port: 995
    Secure(SSL): Yes

    Hi Bob, I told you what to do as did the error you posted.
    Server Response: -ERR This account has POP disabled. Go to the Outlook.com options page to enable POP.

    Hi
    I set the POP3 mode when I set up the new Hotmail account How did it get changed?
    I could not find the option page for outlook.com So removed the Hotmail account I have not used it lately.
