I am sorry to have to uninstall Mozilla Firefox.

As Mozilla has recently presented their organization as "Narrow" minded "Heterophobes" I can no longer support them by using any of their products.

By being so intolerant that they will not allow their Leader to contribute to whomever he desires without negative consequences I will abandon them.

I am now glad that they abandoned Thunderbird.

They are just responding to public pressure in an attempt to reduce a possible backlash against what may be considered a bigoted view / action by an employee. I'm sure those attitudes exist in many places, they just don't make the limelight. Personally I don't like the obscene amount of money Bill Gates has but I haven't stopped using MS products.

    cheers, Paul

Russ, I sympathize with what you are saying. But I wonder if it will really make any difference. Mozilla is a non-profit organization; they don't make any money off of their products, as far as I can tell. I don't know, maybe they do off of ads.

As some may not want to be associated with Brendan Eich for his actions, I do not want to be associated with Mozilla for their actions.

Isn't it great to have choices?

Being "envious" of someone for what they have is not in my nature either, so Microsoft does not offend me.

It never ceases to amaze me that those who would claim they are the most tolerant are in fact by far, the least.

I'm not envious of Bill's money, I think he should do good works with it as he can never spend even a fraction of it on himself. To date he has done a little bit of good with it, nowhere near enough.

    cheers, Paul

So someone other than Bill should tell him how to use his resources or force him to give them up? I believe that was one of the causes of the American Revolution back in 1775.
I would hate to go back there again.

    True, very true.
It's a social disease called political correctness.

I too have done away with Mozilla. Was using there 64 bit Nightly browser and liked it. But after this intolerance for anyone to have there own opinion I went to Chrome. Hope they don't mess up! Sad how this country is going.

    I am anti PC!

Political Correctness - the freedom of speech as long as everybody else likes it.

This is more then 'political correctness'..It's about trying to destroy others with a different opinion that you don't agree with...

Next they will be burning books whose content they don't agree with..
And, we all know what happened when they did that once before.

    Please don't misquote me.

This is not PC, it's called offensive behaviour and people are allowed to express their opinion, and even organise a protest if they wish. The company are allowed to respond to this expression of free speech in any way they choose, just as you are allowed to choose a different browser.

    cheers, Paul

It's quite a shame that these things happen. The dictatorship of the politically correct is a dictatorship nonetheless and people have their lives disrupted because of it.

Is that one of those things though where it's 50/50 or more like 90/10? I don't follow too closely so don't have a good handle on the spread. The last one I recall off-hand is the Chick-fil-a president for supporting traditional marriage.
