    Distribution lists

I just read the latest Woody's Office for Mere Mortals (26 January) regarding Outlook distribution lists. It says I can create distribution lists using Outlook 98 or 2000 but the instructions for creating a list in Outlook 98 don't seem to be correct. It says to go to 'File | New | Distribution List' but my Outlook 98 doesn't have the 'Distribution List' option under 'File | New'.

    Thanks.

    Re: Distribution lists

I don't have OL 98, so I can't check it. In OL2K, you do it this way:

    1- Select Tools/Address List
2- In the Address List Window, Select File/New Entry
3- In the New Entry dialog box select "Personal Distribution List" in the List Box and click OK

You should now be in the dialog box for creating a distribution list. It might work the same or similar in Win 98.

Actually that section is not totally correct to begin with, so i'm not surprised there are more errors. (Ol97 has DL's, but you need to use the PAB.)

Which mode of outlook are you using? I thought it's different in Corp and IMO modes.

I don't use IMO mode, but apparently DLs are not available in the traditional manner http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/ar...s/q181/4/93.asp
