    Chkdsk

Win 7 x64. When using chkdsk, does Windows save a logifle somewhere - the details vanish from the screen immediately the check finishes. If not, is there a parameter for holding the display when the run finishes?

I've recently described the procedure for locating the chkdsk report in Event Viewer on Page 3 of http://windowssecrets.com/forums/sho...te-Not-Working but running chkdsk without any parameters will give its report in the command window.

Check Event Viewer. Click the Start orb, type eventvwr and press [Enter]. Once it gets loaded, click Windows Logs > Application, then right-click Application and select Find..., type in chkdsk and press [Enter]. If nothing is found, you might also try wininit.
