MS Progress ControlBar 6.0 (Office 97 / Access)

Can anyone please tell me how you get this ActiveX control to work? How do you link your processing to the value property of the control?

    Thanks

Re: MS Progress ControlBar 6.0 (Office 97 / Access)

    Hi,
As best I understand it (and I'm not going to claim to be an expert here), the progress bar simply shows whatever value you tell it to - i.e. it's more of an indication that something is happening, than necessarily an accurate guide of how complete a given task actually is. Having said that, if you were, for example, processing an array, you could set the max value of the progress bar to the UBound of the array and the min to the LBound and then as you loop through the array, change the progress bar's value to the index value of whichever item you're processing.
If you're not doing something as easily divisible as that then I guess you need to decide at which points in your process to increment the progress bar and by how much - there may be a certain amount of trial and error involved!
    Hope that's of some help.
    Regards,
