    Pivot Table Sorting (Excel 2002)

I have a list that includes the names of salepersons, their department and the amount of sales generated. I created a pivot table that shows total and average sales by department. The data is listed alphabetically by department. Does anyone know how I can sort the data in descending order by sales, so the department with the highest sales is listed first and the lowest sales listed last? Thanks for any help

    Hi,
I'm guessing this is the same in Excel2002 as in 2000. Right-click on your department field, choose Field settings, then click Advanced, and change the autosort options to Descending, and select the field you want to use (probably Sum of Sales).
    Hope that helps.
