Windows Credential Manager - in Control Panel

Using this applet how can one list or find out what user/password combinations are in the Windows Security list?

I'm trying to find out how this works as I cannot find a user/password combination to access the shares on my NAS using File Explorer or my web page editor.

Seeing some of the older entries may help me. I have seen how the 'Remember my credentials' checkbox adds an entry to the list using another access that works.

If I could read the passwords I'd be well on the way.

Can anyone point me to a M$ page or other help file or utility please?

Have a look at Nir Sofer's Network Password Recovery. It's the only utility I know off the top of my head that can retrieve user/password combo's from the credentials file.

    Hope this helps...
