    A good many people in the northern hemisphere are happy about cherry trees, tulips, daffodils, magnolias, fritillarias you name it in bloom. Lengthening April days and more sun switch on giddy moods for northerners. A few people haven't had their fill of winter adventures in snow. If you're one of them, here's a video to give you someplace to aim for in coming months:

    August (actually June in the original YouTube video) is in the middle of winter in New Zealand which is in the southern hemisphere. :-)

    Hi Marty, Happily, I know which hemisphere New Zealand belongs to--having lived there in my youth. But I've edited the text to make it clearer which months are likeliest to be snowy at Arthur's Pass.
