    Scripting to add file permissions

I want to use a script to add file permissions for two users to individual files as needed. The users are IUSR_WPG and IIS_Cowgirl. I have been doing this manually via the windows properties/security tab but each time I move a file to my server, I have to do this. Would love to automate it. I am familiar with scripting and most Unix/NT commands (also have access to MKS toolkit - Unix tools for Windows)

This sounds like you are updating a web site. Why not set the permission at directory level and then you don't need to update individual files?
If you still want to script the change you can use the CACLS command on it's own or in a batch file.

    cheers, Paul
