    PC Monitoring

I run AppsTrakka on my PC, so I can check if others use my PC to take advantage of my access priveleges. AppsTrakka does not load if you open the PC in safe mode, which would allow others to load say sniffers on my PC without being logged.
Does anybody know of an application that will run at all times, regardless of safe mode?

Talk to you IS support and see what you can do for you. The IS department may infact be updating things accross the network everytime you log in. Some, even, can restore only an approved "Image" every time. They, (the company) may not want things installed that they have not purchased and/or approved.
    Sorry?

Hi Dave, Thanks for your answer, I understand what you are saying, in fact I am the IS department. My concern is that by using safe mode, other IS staff can load programmes on my PC without my knowledge. An example was that ZA alerted me to a probe when my system engineer was 'playing' around with PC Anywhere, which as you know requires client software installed.
I guess I am looking to "assure" myself that my PC set up is not changed without my knowledge.

You did not say what OS and what type of network you are running. Please post and someone may be able to add more input.

    Re: PC Monitoring

Thank you Dave. Our domain server is running 2000, version 5 SP2 build 2195. The network is a standard DHCP TCP/IP 10/100.
My PC runs 2000, V5 SP, with SP2 to be applied in the next week or so.
    Hope this information helps.
