Outlook 2013 messages sent but copy remains in draft folder

I recently upgraded one of our users to Outlook 2013 and everything seemed to work fine. But now, sent email is staying in his draft folder. The email is delivered ok, a copy is put in the sent folder, but the draft copy is never deleted. He's been manually deleting them. The email account is set up via IMAP. Searching the internet, it appears this is a common problem that people are saying is a bug in Outlook 2013. I've found nothing from Microsoft acknowledging it, or how to fix it.

Anyone else have this problem? Were you able to resolve it? Thanks.

    Hi Rick,

Go to the “Save Message” and disable the “Automatically save items that have not been sent after this many minutes” or set its timing at 0.

    Hope it will help you.

Thanks Clark. Yeah, I ran across that option while searching the problem. I'll need to talk to the user to see if he wants to do without that functionality. I don't know how much he might rely on it.

In the mean time, I've created a new profile. We'll see if that makes a difference.

    Thanks again.
