    How to Delete Internet Explorer?

I have decided to just delete Internet Explorer off my machine since I use Firefox with Windows 8.1. However, IE doesn't show up in the Control Panel under "Programs and Features", and if I try to delete it using File Explorer, I get a message " Require permission from TrustedInstaller." What should I do, if anything?
    Thanks,
    Mike Rapp

Go into Programs and Features then click on Turn Windows features on or off and then uncheck the box for Internet Explorer.

This is the nearest to uninstalling IE as it is part of Windows but you will need it for any Windows updates.

With current versions of Windows - 7/8/8.1 you do not use IE for Windows Update. There is separate software for WU.
