tab control on form expands (access 2000)

everytime i place an ocx control on a particular tab withing the tab control itself the entire tab resizes itself to the full size of the form in which it is imbedded. Is there any way to eliminate this behavior. I am installing the Date/Time picker v6.0.
    Thanks

You shouldn't see this behavior at all, at least not if you're using the Date/Time Picker from the MS common controls. Are you using a third party date/time picker?

No, i'm using the standard Microsoft date time picker control....it's always behaved like this...named mscal2.ocx...knowledge base has nothing about it

That's because it doesn't normally behave like that. I'm attaching a demo database that includes a couple of forms with Date/Time Pickers on them, one with the controls on a tab control. As you should see, the size of the DT Picker when expanded doesn't control the size of the tab control on my form.
