    Angry Help! Need to add a compatibility option to save as Word 2003

    This is my current code. I would like to do the following:
    Option 1: Add a save-as feature to allow the document to be saved as .doc or .docx
    Option 2: I can clone the macro and use one that would autosave to .doc format from Word 2010

    Any advice is greatly needed!

    If Options.CheckGrammarWithSpelling = True Then
    ActiveDocument.CheckGrammar
    Else
    ActiveDocument.CheckSpelling
    End If
    '
    Dim strFilename As String
    Dim strDOCExt As String
    strFilename = ActiveDocument.Bookmarks("DocName").Range.Text
    strDOCExt = ".DOC"
    '
    ActiveDocument.SaveAs FileName:="C:\Ascend\Print\" + strFilename + strDOCExt
    ActiveDocument.Close
    '
    End Sub

    Try:

    Code:
        ActiveDocument.SaveAs2 FileName:="C:\Ascend\Print\" + strFileName, FileFormat:= _
            wdFormatDocument, CompatibilityMode:=0
    For Word 2007 you would use ActiveDocument.SaveAs and would drop the CompatibilityMode setting which isn't supported. Note, in neither of these did I attempt to attach an extension.
