    Mozilla Thunderbird email deletion problem

    When I have read an email and delete it that email plus the next one is also deleted. How can I correct this problem?

    Do not "Double-Click" the "Delete" button, just "Click" it one time.

    That's what I was doing and the left click deleted two emails.

    It's possible your mouse is double clicking because the button is going bad.

    Defective mouse was the correct diagnosis; thanks for the tip. Never had a mouse go bad before.
