Recently Updated from Win 8 to 8.1 - Windows Update no longer works - error code 80072F8F

Best research claims this error is related to date/time but after numerous attempts (i.e. manually change, connect to time servers... etc.) it still comes back with the same error code and windows update will not run. Use the Windows Update Troubleshooter utility and it found problems that it could not correct. Everything worked fine the day after I did the update to WIN 8.1 but no longer.
