How to get Expanded Start / Programs list

I set up new PC. Win2000 Pro. When I click Start / Programs, I get a list of the recently used programs and folders with a double-arrows-down to expand the list to include ALL the programs and folders.

    ARGH!

I have scoured task bar options, TweakUI, talked to my guru, searched KB's and THE lounge. This is obviously trivial. I don't recall this happening on any Win2000 PC's before.

    so easy...
    so unclear ("personalized menus"?)...
so frustrating (an hour searching for something so trivial)...
but I SHOULD have tested "personalized menus" since I didn't know what it means...

    Thank you!

Don't say that! - it sounds like you are encouraging people to select options just because they don't know what they mean <img src=/S/laugh.gif border=0 alt=laugh width=15 height=15>

Actually, all you have to do is click on the question mark top right of the window, then click on 'Use Personalized Menus' and a little explanation pops up . . .
