    Script running in FireFox

My firefox (From version 25 to current 30.0) locks up constantly because there is some kind of a script running in the background. Is there anyway to turn scripting off? What are they for? The message is very cryptic to me.

That message is the standard Firefox "I am having trouble rendering this page" message. I would clear the browser cache first (Options > Advanced > Network, Cached Web Content), then maybe try a re-install of Firefox.

    cheers, Paul
