What happened to the Lounge was not a result of any decisions made by the forum staff. We will try, as much as possible, to take your suggestions into account.

Yes, appreciate the changes were made by iNet dev team as you've told me but who would have authorised the changes or can they do this at will ?

I can only say some of the change results are unexpected.

I've been having a look at various links to see what there is (very easy to miss things where changes have been made). There is a menu bar at the top, coloured yellow (tangerine?). This has only two items on it. There are also some menu items underneath. Why is this, wouldn't they be better on the bar itself . The menu bar looks very empty with only two items.
It's interesting to compare the old and new via the Wayback machine (http://wayback.archive.org/web/20140...ts.com/forums/).

What happened to the lounge lizard?

Can we get rid of that stupid 'Tips, Tricks. etc' pop-out on the RHS? I really don't need 1/4 of the entire page given over to something I don't really care about. What's really annoying is that, even after minimising it, it keeps coming back. If this keeps up, I'll simply stop coming here...

That's fine for you. I provide on-line help on many forums and I don't appreciate pop-outs that won't stay minimised and serve no purpose other than to waste 1/4 of the screen width thereby adding to the amount of scrolling up & down that's needed to read relevant content. Such web page designs are an abomination.

I was going to put my question at that post, but I am prevented from doing so, since the board is prompting me that the post is older than 90days!
Did this "Thanks" feature of the forum get removed? I don't see it anymore unless one of my Firefox Add-Ons is playing a trick on my viewing habits!

That Attachment is returning an Invalid link for me but you are correct, the Thanks button has been removed.
