    Attachments saved are "Read-Only"

When I save attachments from Outlook 2010 to Word 2010 or Excel 2010 (haven't tried others), they nearly always are saved in "read-only" format. I have to save a copy and it also saves as "read-only". I end up with at least 2 versions of the same file and often more versions than that. How can I save attachments so they are not in "read-only".

Perhaps one of the the workarounds explained here would help: Edit and Save Outlook's Read-Only Attachments (at Slipstick.com)
