Command line switches ? (Outlook 98)

Are there command switches to override the default setting and open Outlook 98 to a newly specified folder such as Contacts, Calendar, etc?

Might want to use such a switch in conjunction with Task Scheduler.

Re: Command line switches ? (Outlook 98)

According to MS: For information about other command-line switches, search on the phrase "Control what happens when you start Outlook," using the Office Assistant.

A search in my Outlook Help (but Outlook 2002) this should work, but I didn't test it:

    "C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOfficeOutlook.exe" /select outlook:calendar

Re: Command line switches ? (Outlook 98)

I just tested the example switch with the syntax that you provided via Start > Run and it worked <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>

And yes, now I see that the Outlook 98 Help file does in fact have some text about startup switches. However, it instructs

    /select "path/folder name"

which does not really indicate the correct syntax. I tried using merely

    /select calendar

    and that did not work.

    So thanks, Leif !
