Are you downloading from Service Pack 2 for Microsoft Office 2010 (KB2687455) 32-Bit Edition?

Have you disabled your anti-virus during the install?

Have you tried installing in safe mode?

Is there an error code? Have you examined the installation log file for the erro?

You have to have the 64-bit version of Office installed which also requires the 64-bit version of Windows. Office 2010 is the first version to be available as either 64-bit or 32-bit.
